Meaning and Spirit of Taekwondo
Taekwondo is not just a martial art designed to win a victory at any cost. It is also intended to develop and perfect, by a rigorous discipline, all the faculties, spiritual and physical of a person. The Ancients defined Taekwondo as “the martial art of the wise man”. They considered it exclusively as a defense. “Do not provoke but defend yourself” is the essence of Taekwondo.
